The Opportunity: Health, Safety & Environment Manager
Lead the Culture of Safety and Sustainability at Rooster Poultry. We are seeking a Proactive, Solutions-Focused Safety Champion to take charge of our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Strategy across our operations.
Based in Ba, this critical role ensures the Wellbeing of our People, ensuring Compliance with Regulatory Standards, and embedding Proactive Risk Management practices throughout the business and our Commitment to Environmental Responsibility throughout Fiji.
Key focus areas:
- Lead and Champion a Culture of Safety and Wellbeing across all levels of the organization.
- Identify, Assess, and Mitigate Operational Risks to prevent Workplace Incidents and Injuries.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance with all local labour laws and best international HSE standards.
- Design, Implement, and rigorously oversee all Health & Safety Programs, Policies & SOP Compliance.
- Lead Workplace Incident Investigations and Perform Root Cause Analysis driving immediate Corrective and robust Preventative actions to achieve the targets for (LTI’s) and (TRIR).
- Collaborate strategically with all departments to promote a proactive Occupational Health & Safety mindset and culture to integrate effective risk mitigation practices.
What we are looking for:
- A strategic thinker with hands-on experience in HSE leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail, a strong desire for continuous process improvement, and the ability to champion change.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- A degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
